Meet the team

I know we’ve moved in stealth mode for a while, busy with the development and making TrippyDoo happen. But then we launched, and people started asking me about the team, who’s actually behind TrippyDoo. It was not easy to put this together as dev team is quite busy these days, but here we are:

Andi Chirita

me from pestoq

Experienced web developer and web stuff addict. Plan to travel more and share the experiences on the most friendly platform out there.

…. and Alin Popescu:

Alin Popescu

Developer, amazon cloud specialist and trippydoo superfan.

Toma Tomy

Into development, busy taking care of the purple sheep. Living the present in a hiphop rithm.

And Daniela Lepus:

Founder, managing about everything @TrippyDoo for the moment. Into experiential traveling. Adrenalin seeker, coffee addict and simplicity fan.

Max Marele (Visualis) is the one responsible for our identity and design (we’re just waiting for him to return from his well deserved vacation and give us a photo for this post). He helped us a lot during development, and he practically created our purple sheep – thanks Max!

That’s it! We’re done. However, we do feel the need for an extra hand at TrippyDoo, as the project is consuming more and more resources everyday. So we’re basically looking for an experienced well-round CTO to join our team, preferably with some social media experience. If interested please send us a CV at daniela@trippydoo.com and we’ll take it from there.

TrippyDoo – Private Beta launch today

We’ve launched TrippyDoo today! The first batch of invites were sent just a few hours ago, and we’ve been busy since collecting the feedback, answering questions, and thanking people for taking the time to report bugs.

But now it’s weekend, and TrippyDoo means traveling & fun ! So go on, discover new  and interesting places. We’ll be here, fixing TrippyDoo here and there, and trying to make traveling easier.

Hello world!

TrippyDoo is a project we’ve been working on for a while, and it was born from the desire to make traveling easier. No, we won’t sell you airfare tickets, and we won’t book you a hotel. Instead we aim to facilitate information sharing from one traveler to the other by collectively using our traveling experiences.

Why ask the agents for “tourist attractions” when you can see the place through the eyes of a person like you? Why go in the already crowded places, when you can enjoy a deserted beach someone discovered & shared here?! Why stay in a fancy hotel, when you can spend a few days living like the locals?

Well, the thing is that we need your help to make TrippyDoo the place for experiential traveling. So bear with us a few moments more as we’re almost good to go into private beta.
