Notes

Once we arrived, we were seriously in awe. The place (the Majestic Colonial Hotel) was incredible. It’s a gigantic resort on a gorgeous beach, with all sorts of restaurants, bars, shops, a casino, and a killer pool. It’s unbelievable. I could go on and on about it, but then I’d just be rubbing it in.

We actually didn’t make it out snorkeling like we’d planned, because we found out we could go swimming with dolphins instead. Heck yeah!! I have ALWAYS wanted to do that. The dolphin excursion wasn’t cheap, but hey, we weren’t paying for any thing else (well, besides Cinnabon at the airport)! After a bizarre trip in the back of a truck with no seatbelts out to where the dolphins were, our group started out by watching a sea lion show and getting a kiss from one of them. A nice, slimy sea lion kiss. Then were were off to swim with the dolphins! I tried hard, but there was just no way they were letting me take my camera in the water with me. Or any where close for that matter. Why would I buy THEIR photos if I took my own? That’s how they get ya! Once we were in the water, the trainer showed us how to get a kiss from the dolphin, how to get them to jump and how to hang on so they could pull us through the water. Our group’s dolphin was “Dory,” and she was so calm and beautiful! I really wish I had video clips of our experience there, because it was SO awesome, but I don’t. I do, however, have a couple photos that they took of us there. A couple overpriced photos.

If we’d stayed longer, we would’ve added snorkeling and ziplining to our agenda. But instead of trying to cram it all in, we figured our time was probably best spent relaxing and taking in all the gorgeousness at the resort. We are so so blessed to have had the opportunity to go.
